Money For Bloggers - by Make money with Amazon

One of the big changes that occured last week was a change in the Google's alogorithm, which affected quite a number of sites including established article directories such as ezine and hubpages. Coming out from this is a big question that is asked by many: can you still make money with niche sites after this change?

The answer currently is yes. Who knows what may matter tomorrow but niche sites still get ranked if they are properly optimised. Links are still one of the most important factor in ranking so with sufficient backlinks and mixed in with a smaller of links from authority sites will get your niche site ranked.

The real question is whether this is what you want to do. Do you want to built countless niche sites to earn money and to worry about whether Google will deindex you or whether you want to build a couple of real authority sites that provide useful information and can stand the test of time?

For me, it is the latter. However I don't have the patience to build authority sites from scratch. So I buy them. I build sites that have aged, that have a diverse link portfolio, that have good search traffic. These are the kind of sites that I will buy.

After buying them, I will put together a small content team that produce high quality articles that addresses the need for that market. This is how I intend to grow this year.

No more niche sites. Just real sites with solid information, packaged with different revenue streams.

Make money with domains

January 9th 2011 07:54
By knowing how to make money with amazon and adsense, I want to expand my make money ventures by looking into domain investments. Most of the people would think that this area has already been dried up since many of the good domain names have been taken. Well this is true to an extend, there are still room for smart investors to make make off this venture. Here is the 2 main reason why I think the opportunity still exist.

First, new terms are appearing constantly. Stem cell for example seem to be on the brink of breaking into the mainstream and anybody could have bought the name stemcell.com a couple of years back.

Second, you can still some money (in the five digit figure) to buy some really good one name domain such as ottomans.net, discoveries.com etc. The stakes are up but i believe these domains will go up in value. What looks like expensive now will appear to be cheap in five years time. As such, i rather save up some money to buy a couple of branded domains than comprise the quality and buy lots of 3 or 4 word domains.

However, to start this business, my approach is to look for smaller investments first to familiarize myself with the ins and outs of how domain investing works. I expect my first few numbers to be completely rubbish but that is the kind of 'tuition' fees that I need to pay.

I have not invest in any expensive domains yet. I bought a few that I thought have a chance to become brandable in the future. One such example is robot massage. Why do I pick this domain. Well, I took a look at robot vacuum which has been made popular by products such as the romba. My bet is that robot massage might take off, of which this domain will be a nice name for any stores that want to sell such products. We shall see if this investment pens out.

How to make 1k with amazon

December 27th 2010 03:14
November was a great money as I was near to making 1k with Amazon. I started the effort in July so it was great to see results happenng so quickly. Unfortunately, my site got sandboxed in Dec, probably due to too any links being sent at once. This caused my traffic to drop in half. The lucky thing was that google images was still sending me traffic, which tells an interesting fact: google image and google search are not completely related so you can get sandboxed in one but still able to achieve traffic from another.

Anyway, here is Aamazon earnings for Nov.

How to make 1k with amazon

My plans for 2011 in to expand on this niche until it hits around 2k. From the kind of traffic that I have received, I think it certainly is possible. I will also be starting another 2 amazon sites in competely different niches. From the test that I have another, this 2 new niches should convert well.

Before you start any amazon sites, the most important thing is to test the responsiveness of the niche. Unlike adsense where all you need is clicks, amazon requires people to buy and that is something that not all niches can achieve.

The best way to test is to ride on the authority on sites such as Hubpages who can rank low competitive keywords fairly easily without any promotional effort and backlinks on your end. Go to Amazon's best seller list for any category, use the exact product name as the article title, add in buying keywords for the rest of the articles such as "buy", "where to buy", "cheap", "for sale" etc and wait. If the article resulted in amazon sales, then you can go ahead and start building a site around it.

Hope you helps you to make money with Amazon

How to make money with Amazon

October 25th 2010 01:32
Sorry for the non posting as I was busy working on my new Amazon sites. And yes, making money online is a lot of work. Do not let all the 'gurus' fooled you into thinking that you can make 10,189 in 24 hours. You simply can't if you are a beginner. Sure, somebody like Griz can use niche marketing to make almost 10,000 in 8 days but that takes a lot of experience. For the rest of us, it wil make almost 6 months to a year to understand how everything comes together. How to use long tail buying keyword to target the buying crowd. Where to source for effective backlinks that can make your site rank high in the SERP. How to produce content fast if you are not oursourcing etc. All these questions will be covered in the months to come.

So, back to making money with Amazon. Last month, I was busy making all sort of niches using Amazon products because I am just learning how to make money with it. Amazon works quite different from Adsense which is where my past experience lies. For amazon, I need to figure out a number of things like layout, how to pick the right keywords for products etc. All these are new for me as well.

One of the key findings over the past month is that you need a lot of traffic to make sales. Since Amazon doesn't pay you for clicks, you need more traffic to increase the sales. For adsense, you need to figure out just the click through ratio for your site to the ads. For amazon, you need to figure out not only the click through but the buy ratio once the people get to the Amazon page. It is a two pass game so that conversion will be lower than adsense. That being said, the commissions are definitely higher if you target high price products. I find that for my sites, the best range is between USD50 to USD150. Anything lower, your commissions will be low. Anything higher and you will get a much lower conversion rate.

I have lots more to say but I want to finish up my experiments first before reporting my result. See you guys in a couple of weeks.

It's very difficult to fix your computer if you don't know anything about hardware. Trying to solve PC problems at home by your own is very risky and many times result in more damage unless you know the things. Then calling a tech support guy can be a good solution.

You can get expert IT advice from BT home IT support. BT provides IT support over phone as well as at your home. You don't need to worry about the technical issues of your personal computers or home business gadgets
