In my previous post I have mentioned some blogging mistakes to avoid, In this post I am gonna write some Blog design tips.

While surfing I came across 25 blog design mistakes , rather mentioning these mistakes I though I will pick some design tips to be followed by the bloggers.

Here are some chosen tips:
1) Optimize your images at a lower resolution to achieve faster loading pages. Keep your page sizes well under 60 KB.

2) Think "easy to read." Avoid dark backgrounds with light colored fonts. White background with black text is best for the general public.

3) Make sure your page is easy to read. Break text into manageable pieces, use sub-headings, short paragraphs, highlighted keywords and bullet points.

4) Don't overdo it when designing your pages. Just because you can add something doesn't mean you have to. Leave plenty of white space between your text and images.

5) Always check to see what your site looks like in multiple browsers and change accordingly before uploading your site to the web.

6) Always remember, "Content is King" on the internet, so make sure there is plenty of good, focused information for your visitors.

7) Always optimize your images and use the height and width attributes of the image tag. Additionally, save the files in the right image formats: JPG for Photographs and GIF for artwork.

And last one is most important:

8) A lot of people are using advertisements to earn extra money. That's fine, just don't overdo it.
Don't confuse your readers between the ads and the content.There is nothing wrong by making some money from your knowledge.

Avoid these blogging mistakes

A majority of bloggers make some common mistakes and those who learns from these mistakes can have success knocking at their doorstep.

These common mistakes are:
1) Concentrating on blog design only: Some bloggers forget the thing that blog content and marketting your blog is the main thing to promote the blog! Again Marketting is the most important thing for a good content!

2) Meaningless post titles: In order to get the most targeted keywords in post title most of the bloggers forget the meaning of the post. So keep the title as simple and informative as it is.

3) To many posts: As I am the reader of many blogs out there, but its annoys me if I get too many posts from a single blog. So keep the number of posts limited per day say 2 to 4 is sufficient.

4) To many adds: Yes you want money from your blog but you should keep in mind that too many adds on the blog makes the reader confusing in between your content. And most of them will never come back loosing your blog readership! So keep the adds limited, doing this you can even make more money.

5) Changing blog URl domain frequently : One sure way to loose your readers is changing the blog domain or url. Do not change the blog title or Domain for a established blog. Decide ten times before choosing the right domain name for your blog!
