Don’t assume that once you set up a blog and put some content on it, you will get readers or click on your blog. Your site should be known in the market then only you will get the readers. So I am going to tackle some common ways to boost the traffic to your blog. So hopefully this will help for bloggers to get some traffic.
Blog Design:
Your blog should have its own identity. I mean unique style and layout of your blog. You also need to keep in mind that unique design doesn’t mean that using
Extreme colors. No one will stay at your blog if your blog is annoying look.
Content
So now your blog is looking attractive but what about the content of your blog?
Readers want the unique content and it’s your responsibity to give it to them.
So try to use the subjects from the current market or the technology you have idea about. Don’t forget to add your opinions. People will not come to your blog if they find same content 100 times on other sites. If they learn something new from your content they will surely visit again to your blog.
I am not saying that each time you should have the Einstein’s view and write the content but you can also mention your day-to-day activities and experience, which will help the others also.

Use the web communities like Technorati to boost the traffic. Technorati is one of the best traffic providers for bloggers. Technorati is also a blog ranking engine.
Based on the links to your blog rank is given to your blog. So more the links higher the rank and more traffic! Technorati tags help people to find your blog easily on the web. You will also get the link code, which you can place on your blog so that people can connect to your blog.

Sign up at feedburner, submit your blog url and burn your feed! Next you will need to place a bit of code on your blog, which shows the no of readers to your blog. You can also place ‘subscribe to this blog’ link, which helps people to easily subscribe to your blog. Analyze the traffic, hits individual users and lot more with this feed.
Try these options and in few days you will surely see the increase in traffic.

You might get some search engine benefits from this. But you'll certainly get other bloggers looking at your blog -- particularly if you ask good questions and/or give good answers. Might even get a few one way links out of it.
(This also goes for websites as well, of course.)
