Nowadays social networking traffic is the biggest source of traffic for most of the popular blogs.

Few days ago I was wondering how to bring traffic from such social networking site. I did some RnD. To start with I registered with stumbleupon. For few days i keep on exploring the options on this social bookmarking site.
Then I installed the stumble upon toolbar on my IE explorer.

On installation of this toolbar You can see a toolbar header in IE and options like 'Stumble',
'I like it' etc. In order to get traffic from stumble upon you need to have first entry in stumble upon database.

To get the entry for my blog on education Software Testing Help , I submitted one article on Choosing software testing as your career to stumble upon.

Submitting article is also very simple. Open the page you want to submit to. Then click 'I like It'
button on stumble upon toolbar. A window will popup for the description of the page. Fill the description and submit the article.
You are done with it. Rest of the taken care by Stumble upon and the visitors.

I experienced a significant boost of around 1000 visitors on my blog Software Testing Help on very first day of submission.

So what are you waiting for download stumble upon toolbar and sit back to watch your traffic boost.

Real Crash

I registered for stumble and tagged some of my new posts on www.realcrash.com with the " I like it thing". Am I supposed to do anything else?

So far the results are very low...

Please tell me why it is absolutely necessary to install the toolbar? ...and how many toolbars are "enough" considering; Google bar, Yahoo bar, MSN bar, and too many more to mention. Really, if you want my support, then DONT ask me to install another freekin' toolbar!

Really a good question. If you don't want to add toolbar then simply log in to Stumble upon account and manually add the post you want to stumble by users.

I generally use my feed url to submit to stumble upon, delicious and digg. I have enabled feed flare option from feed burner. This enables me to add my post to any of above mentioned service.
